I think an activity like the one banting does is a great idea. I dont feel that grarde 9s would do this just to "fit in" because I would be more a way to be respected. all the students at Banting have done this and know how much fun it truly is and I do not think that it can be considered as hazing.
If IDCI came up with some sort of activity like this it would enhance or create the idea of unity within the school and make kids more proud of their school.

#14- Why do white people have black spots
The most memorable part from this video clip was the perspective that it was told from and how we were able to understand what children in africa are thinking, rather than us canadians, assuming. All of the kids in the video were very intelligent and the fact that they could speak two languages, one including my own language, is remarkable.
In my opinion, wester society is forcing their beliefs on developing countries and I dont feel that it is the greatest thing to do. I support what organizations do for developing countries (building schools and enforcing education) but I do not feel comfortable with the changes that are occuring because the kids in this video, for example, have so many questions and do not have an understanding of what if happening to their lives.
This was an excellent video and it really made you think from a different perspective and how these kids are true intellectuals and that is a remarkable thing.

#4-Pat Til
Pat Tillman is truly an inspirational man for leaving his football career to fight in Iraq for the United States of America. For that major step he made, I think Pat Tillman is a hero.
To me, the definition of a hero is a person that puts themselves in danger in order to help another person that is in need. Pat Tillman put his life in danger by going to Iraq to fight for his country and show how much he supports his country which I think is an incredible action on his behalf. He may not have ended the war, but he did show to others that anyone can stand up for what they believe in and give up everything they have to show their support.
